Horse Show Rules and Regulations
- This show is PAC approved!
- AQHA rules will be used with show management reserving the right to modify them as needed.
- Exhibitor age is determined as of January 1, 2011
- Show attire and equipment are optional, but the judge will consider legal equipment and appropriate attire in the overall presentation.
- Boots are mandatory for all classes.
- Helmets are required for the English classes.
- Stallions are allowed for 19 and over classes only. Yearlings and Weanling Stallions will be allowed to compete in the Geldings 2 and under class.
- Any entry that is deemed unsafe to the horse, rider, spectators or other exhibitors will be excused rom the class without discussion at the discretion of the judge.
- The judge’s decision is final. Any exhibitor or his representative that interferes with, or displays disrespect to, the show judge or show management is subject to disqualification and will be asked to leave the grounds immediately.
- No exhibitor or parent will be allowed to talk with the judge until AFTER the show is complete. Please contact show management with questions or clarification during the show.
- All protests must be made in writing, accompanied with a non-refundable $100 fee and must plainly state the merits of the complaint.
- Halter classes will not count for high point (but may be used as a tie-breaker, if necessary)
- Exhibitors must use a one-horse/one-rider combination for high point.
- Points will be determined by the exhibitors in each class. If there are six or more exhibitors, 1st place = 6 points; 2nd place = 5 points; 3rd place = 4 points; 4th place = 3 points; 5th place = 2 points and 6th place = 1 point. If there are less than six exhibitors in a class, the points will be pro-rated (for example: four exhibitors in a class means 1st place = 4 points; 2nd place = 3 points and so on).
- Ties for high point, reserve high point or overall champion will be broken by halter placings. If a tie still exists, the tie will be broken by the exhibitor with the most number of 1st place placings (then 2nd place placings and so on, if necessary). The judge will choose a pre-determined class as a final tie-breaker.
- Horse Show Entry fee is $8 if pre-entered and pre-paid; $10 the day of the show with a $10 office fee per horse. Jackpots are $20/class - 75% payout.
- WE ENCOURAGE AN OPEN CHECK AS NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED FOR ANY REASON!
- Walk-Trot Classes are reserved for our novice riders who are unable to lope because of age, experience or breed show limitations (Walk-Trot Eligibility). Please be fair to other exhibitors and enter at the appropriate skill level! We have added several Walk/Trot Classes that age or division rider may enter.
- You may not cross over into any other division -- enter Walk-Trot, 18 and under, or 19 and Over and show in that division all day (Jackpot and Open Classes Excluded).
- Once you have shown in one class in a division, you may not switch your high point division...ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS
