Sonny Burgess

After performing on stage for the first time in second grade, Sonny Burgess knew he was destined to be a Traditional Country Music Artist like his idols Hank Williams, Chet Atkins, Roy Clark and Glen Campbell. Inspired by the stories they wove in the touching and haunting melodies, Sonny taught himself to play the guitar and quickly grew into his own as a player and singer. Everything came to fruition in 2001 with four top 10 singles from his CD “When In Texas” and playing in venues such as the Grand Old Opry and The Wildhorse Saloon. He even performed three times for President George W. Bush during his presidential campaign. After many experiences and through much labor and sheer determination Sonny second album, “Stronger” was released followed by a third “Have You Got A Song Like That?”

Brian Burns

“Music’s not a choice I made, I believe the choice made me,” declared Brian. Burns has, for many years, been regarded as one of Texas’ top performing songwriters, his work having been covered by a number of legendary artists. But in recent years Brian has emerged as one of his state’s most powerful and engaging performers. His songs explore both the poignant and the humorous sides of humanity, drawing out the things we’ve all felt and wish we could have said. The warmth, wit, and eclecticism of his performances captivate audiences night after night. His debut solo album, “Highways, Heartaches, and Honky-Tonks,” a 1997 summarized his musical mission up to that point. His second album, 1999’s “Angels & Outlaws,” produced the venomous, yet humorous Texan anthem, Welcome To Texas (Now Don’t Forget To Go Back Home). Brian’s 2001 release, “The Eagle & The Snake: Songs Of The Texians,” presented an epic collection of classic, contemporary, and original ballads based on the history, folklore, and culture of Texas. In 2004, Brian released “Heavy Weather”, followed by “Border Radio” in 2006.American Junkyard,” released in 2009 is a collection of songs looks at our  nation through the eyes of an aging patriot who sees us at our best and our worst all at once – a keen observer indeed. Burns is just a man with his guitar – drawing clarity out of the white noise of modern Texan and American culture, then turning it into a good time to be had by all – ages 9 to 90.

Brian Houser

A carpenter by trade, music has always been a form of release and celebration for Brian. Usually every performance has been preceded by a forty-hour work week and singing from a working man¹s perspective fits his core belief that country music should be a true reflection of common people and their simple lives. In 1998, Brian Houser released his first CD, the critically acclaimed “Never Look Back.”  It was produced at the demand of his loyal followers in his hometown of Denton, Texas and documents his emotions of a failed 10- year marriage. The attention garnished by this work led to performances with Jerry Jeff Walker, Robert Keen and, most notably Brian’s musical hero, Willie Nelson. His second CD was “Son of a Common Man.” His third was Simple Lives.” Like his previous work, these original songs reflect his long standing Texas heritage and his connection with the common man that has been the foundation of country music for generations.
