Anyone may enter a float, trailer, wagon or horse in the parade!
Contestants may begin lining up at 7:30 a.m. on the day of the parade on a first-come, first-serve basis with the parade beginning at 9:00 a.m.
The parade route will be as follows:
Starting point is Elm and Parkway (City Development Center), proceeding South on Elm across the Square southbound to Prairie Street. Turn left or East on Prairie Street to Locust. Turn left or North on Locust heading northbound on Locust to McKinney Street. Turn left or West on McKinney Street to Bolivar Street. Turn right on Bolivar, and return to starting point. Staging will be on Parkway between Carroll Blvd and Elm Street for vehicles. Livestock staging will be the parking lot between South State Bank (Independent Bank) and Cross Timbers Church building. All livestock will start at and return to this staging area.
There is no charge to enter the parade. Upon arrival to the parade site, contestants will be asked to fill out a participation form with information about the person, business or club represented.
Cash prizes will be awarded for first ($100) and second ($50) places in five categories: riding clubs, commercial, youth, western wagon, classic car and one place for Best Overall ($250).
A contestant may only win once. Have fun!
