2019 Scholarship Program

The North Texas Fair and Rodeo believes in Investing in the Future of Our Youth by offering scholarships to our graduating seniors. Scholarship awards are paid directly to the Junior College or University in two installments, one per semester for the first year of enrollment.

THREE scholarships are available for applicants:

We will accept applications from:

January 1st-April 15th


Scholarship recipients will by notified by May 1, 2019

You also can Invest in the Future or Our Youth by contributing an amount that fits your budget, either to the North Texas Fair and Rodeo Scholarship, the Bob C. Powers Scholarship, or the Robert Bell Memorial Scholarship.

2019 Scholarship Winners

North Texas Fair Association Scholarship

The North Texas State Fair Association Scholarship was awarded to the Charlie Newman, with Aubrey FFA. Charlie has been involved in FFA and agriculture activities for the past 6 years. Charlie plans on attending Tarleton State University and majoring in Ag Business Management and minoring in Welding with the intent of owning his own welding business and boar goat farm to help other FFA students.

Bob C. Powers Scholarship

The Bob C. Powers Scholarship was awarded to Karlee Collins, with Aubrey FFA. Karlee has been involved in 4-H and FFA for over 11 years. Karlee has excelled inside and outside of the classroom and wants to continue her college education at Texas Women's University while majoring in music therapy.

Robert Bell, Trade/Vocational, Scholarship

The Robert Bell, Trade/Vocational, Scholarship was awarded to Jessie Gentry from Denton, Texas. Jessie has been involved in FFA for 4 years and will be attending Tarleton State University majoring in Agriculture Education with a minor in Animal Science. Jessie's goal is to become an Agriculture Science Teacher.
